Putting

 

The five principles are:

1. Place both thumbs straight down the the flat side of the grip.

2. Position the ball near the left foot.

3. Position your left eye directly over the ball.

4. No wrist movement, putting is a dipping of the shoulders.

Notice, no wrist, elbow, hip, or leg movement!

5. The putting stroke is a pendulum, no elbow or head movement, hip movement or leg movement.

The three mandatory fundamentals are:

 

1. No wrist movement.

These are very bad photo, way too much wrist.

2. The speed of the putting stroke is a constant.

 

3. The length of the backswing determines the distance the ball rolls.

Short back, short follow-through, short shot.
